What?!?! You’re a morning person?!?! Morning people exist?!?! Yes, I am a morning person, and right now I’m a four in the morning person. I wake up this early every day. I usually don’t have any time in the morning because I shower, do my hair and makeup, get dressed, eat breakfast, do last minute homework, that kind of thing. However today, I finished very early. Therefore, I decided to write to you guys.
I guess that I’ll just do an update because I really don’t know what to write about. So, if you look to the right at my milestone, you will see that today is a milestone because I get to find out what part I have in the school play. That may not seem like a big deal, but to me it is. I love acting because I can be someone else. On stage I’m not Ivory Lace (haha the fake name I made up when I was 12 and decided to be anonymous). I get to live a million lives through acting (and through reading but I’m talking about acting haha), and it’s incredible. It’s also a great way to escape any problems in my life. Not to run away from them, but to just get a breather. Acting allows me to take a break from the issues plaguing me, and then I can go back to my life refreshed and new and ready to tackle the problems. Acting is a release for me. It’s very nice to do stage combat, that releases a lot of anger haha. Just a nice fake slap, or sometimes the director tells you to actually slap the person (softly). It’s funny, I’m a very nonviolent person, but I always end up the person who has to slap someone in shows. So to sum up, acting is amazing.
Moving on haha. Okay, tonight is also my chorus concert, and I’m very nervous because it’s my first holiday concert with select chorus (a chorus you have to audition for and not everyone gets in). The holiday concert isn’t the first concert, but there are three traditions that are hard to uphold. Firstly, we start the night out by singing Christmas Canon and we walk through the audience with fake candles and that’s the only light in the entire room. Next we do our songs, then the select orchestra comes on stage and we do a song with them. Lastly the orchestra and chorus invite anyone who wants to come up on stage and sing with us to do so. The song that is always sang is Halleluiah. I don’t know if any of you guys know this, but that song is incredibly hard to memorize and even harder to actually sing. So yeah, very difficult to uphold these traditions. Oh and then tomorrow we do our concert (minus the Christmas Canon and the orchestra songs) in front of the whole school, twice. We do it twice because our school is too big to do it all at once.
Wow, if you didn’t know from previous posts you know now, I’m a theater nerd. I love acting, singing, and dancing. Well, on that note I’m going to go. Alright, unless I post (yet again) before Christmas, Happy Holidays.
